    Update 12/2019

Hereon forward any pilot licenses issued by the CAA will be without expiry date. Therefore any SPL, PPL, CPL issued won't have a time limit for renewal. Any current licenses will have the expiry removed.

Through the past few years the pilots of San Andreas have demonstrated substantial skill and responsibility, with very very few incidents haven taken place from the timely erosion of skills. Statistically, there is a huge improvement in pilot skill since the CAA's inception. We do not feel that these expiries serve their original intended purpose, any longer.

In exchange for the revocation of expiries there will be a quarterly news letter to keep pilots updated of any changes or incidents through that time period. As well, pilots and air operators are still legally required to comply with reviews by CAA agents and inspectors. Safety and order are most important, education to reinforces it, reviews address and prevent hazardous conduct.

The next public briefing will be held some time shortly after the new year, and we hope to see you there!
